This project brief was the first for myself as an architecture student. It entailed the exploration of the basic needs for the human and ergonomics of the body in the form of a primitive hut.

LAYER TO MOMENT

Located in a salt pan within a South African desert, this design utilizes the elements of a cosmic landscape to create a desert retreat for two individuals that want to become one with the beauty of the natural vastness.

A memorial site for a revolutionary South African artist, Johnny Clegg. This design focussed on contemporizing the vernacular architecture found in the Zulu culture.

A pop-up stall design for Bloemfontein's biggest festival, the Free State Arts Festival. The design required a stall where the owner can sleep at night, as well as serve a dual function during the day for sales & performance.
